Sayings of Prophet Muhammad
may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him

His Prayers Answered

His Prayer for Sayyidina Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadrat Abdullah Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported the Prophet (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) as saying, "O Allah, strengthen Islam with Abu Jahl bin Hisham, or 'Umar bin al-Khattab." In the morning Sayyidina 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) went to the Prophet (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) and accepted Islam; then prayed openly in the mosque. (Ahmad and Tirmidhi)

His Prayer for Hadrat Abdullah Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him)
Narrated Hadrat Abdullah Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him): Once the Prophet (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) embraced me and said, "O Allah! Bestow on him the knowledge of the Book (Qur'an)." (al-Bukhari)

His Prayer for Hadrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him)
Narrated Hadrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): I said to Allah's Messenger (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) "I hear many narrations (Hadiths) from you but I forget them." Allah's Messenger (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) said, "Spread your Rida (garment)." I did accordingly and then he moved his hands as if filling them with something (and emptied them in my Rida) and then said, "Take and wrap this sheet over your body." I did it and after that I never forgot anything. (al-Bukhari)

His Prayer for Hadrat Abu Huraira's Mother (may Allah be pleased with her)
Hadrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I used to invite my mother who was a polytheist to accept Islam, and one day when I had invited her and she caused me to hear something about Allah's Messenger (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) which I do not care to repeat I went to him weeping and said, "Messenger of Allah, supplicate Allah (The Glorified and the Exalted) to guide Abu Huraira's mother." He said, "O Allah (The Glorified and the Exalted) guide Abu Huraira's mother," so I came out cheered by the Prophet's supplication. When I came to the door I found it shut, and when she heard the sound of my feet she said, "Stay where you are, Abu Huraira." I heard splashing of water, and when she had bathed and put on her garment, but was in too big a hurry to put on her head-covering, she opened the door and said, "I testify, Abu Huraira, that there is no god but Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger." I then returned to Allah's Messenger (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) weeping for joy, and he praised Allah (The Glorified and the Exalted) and said some good words. (Muslim)

His prayer for Hadrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadrat Umm Sulaim* (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that she said, "Messenger of Allah, Anas is your servant. Make supplication to Allah for him." He said, "O Allah, multiply his property and his children, and bless him in what Thou givest him." Hadrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I swear by Allah that my property is abundant and that my children and grandchildren exceed the neighbourhood of a hundred in number to-day." (al-Bukhari and Muslim)

*The mother of Hadrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with her)

His Prayer for Hadrat Abdallah bin Hisham (may Allah be pleased with him)
Zuhra bin Ma'bad said his gradfather 'Abdallah bin Hisham would take him out to the market and buy grain, and Ibn 'Umar and Ibn az-Zubair would meet him and say to him, "Take us into partnerhip, for the Prophet (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) has invoked a blessing on you;" then he would take them into partnership. He would often make a profit of a camel-load and send it to the house. 'Abdallah bin Hisham has been taken by his mother to the Prophet (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) who passed his hands over his head and invoked a blessing on him. (al-Bukhari)

His Prayer for Hadrat Urwa (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadrat 'Urwa bin Abul Ja'd al-Bariqi (may Allah be pleased with him) said that Allah's Messenger (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) gave him a dinar to buy a sheep for him. He bought two sheep for him, sold one of them for a dinar and brought him a sheep and dinar. So Allah's Messenger (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) invoked a blessing on him in his business dealings, and he was such that if he had bought dust he would have made a profit from it. (al-Bukhari)

His Prayer for rain
Narrated Hadrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): Once during the lifetime of Allah's Messenger (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) the people of Madina suffered from drought. So while the Prophet (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) was delivering a sermon on a Friday, a man got up saying, "O Allah's Messenger! The houses and sheep have perished. Will you invoke Allah (The Glorified and the Exalted) to bless us (with rain)" The Prophet (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) lifted both his hands and invoked. The sky at that time was as clear as glass. Suddenly a wind blew, raising clouds that gathered together, and it started raining heavily. We came out (of the Mosque) wading through the flowing water till we reached our homes. It went on raining till the next Friday, when the same man or some other man stoop up and said, "O Allah's Messenger! The houses have collapsed: please invoke Allah (The Glorified and the Exalted) to withhold the rain." On that the Prophet (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) smiled and said, "O Allah (let it rain) around us and not on us." I then looked at the clouds to see them separating, forming a sort of a crown round Madina." (al-Bukhari)
