Halal is the permissible or what is allowed in Islam while haram is the prohibited or what is forbidden in Islam.
Some of the things that are haram (prohibited):
Shirk: associating partners with Allah, or worshipping anyone or anything other than Allah.
Lying, cheating, backbiting, slandering, stealing, murder, bribery and corruption.
Drinking alcohol and other intoxicating drinks, eating pork and pork products.
Safa and Marwa are two hills near the Ka'ba.

In the memory of Bibi Hajra, peace be upon her, who ran between the two hills in search of water for her baby, Nabi Isma'il, peace be upon him.
Bibi Maryam, peace be upon her.

Keep away from all evils and bad things.
Help them out.
Tickle them and make them laugh if they are babies.
Not to bother them when they want to be left alone.
Always be friendly and maintain good relations with them.
Give them gifts and good advice.
Fulfil the promises you made them.
Teach them good manners and good character if they are younger than you by setting a good example.
Keep the neighbourhood clean and in good condition.
Be courteous and friendly.
Give gifts.
Help them in difficulties.
Pay them a visit, especially on major occasions.
