Translation of Selected Verses of the Holy Qur'an on
ALLAH
The Only One To Be Worshipped
Allah! There is no God save
Him, the Alive, the Eternal. Neither slumber nor sleep overtaketh Him. Unto Him
belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. Who is
he that intercedeth with Him save by His leave? He knoweth that which is in front
of them and that which is behind them while they encompass nothing of His knowledge
save that He will. His throne includeth the heavens and the earth, and He is never
weary of preserving them. He is the Sublime, the Tremendous. (2 : 255)
Such is Allah, your Lord.
There is no God save Him, the Creator of all things, so worship Him. And He taketh
care of all things. (6 : 103)
And unto (the tribe of)
Thamud (We sent) their brother Salih. He said: O my people! Serve Allah. Ye have
no other God save Him. He brought you forth from the earth and hath made you husband
it. So ask forgiveness of Him and turn unto Him repentant. Lo, my Lord is Nigh,
Responsive. (11 : 61)
Hast thou not seen that
Allah, He it is Whom all who are in the heavens and the earth praise, and the
birds in their flight? Of each He knoweth verily the worship and the praise; and
Allah is Aware of what they do. (24 : 41)
Your God is One God; there
is no God save Him, the Beneficent, the Merciful.(2
: 163)
Say, (O Muhammad, to mankind); If ye love Allah, follow me; Allah will love you and forgive your sins. Allah is Forgiving, the Merciful. (3 : 31)
They said: Wonderest thou at the commandment of Allah? The mercy of Allah and His blessings be upon you, O people of the house! Lo! He is Owner of Praise, Owner of Glory! (11 : 73)
He said: Can I trust him
to you save as I entrusted his brother to you aforetime? Allah is better at guarding,
and He is the most Merciful of those who show mercy. (12 : 64)
He saith: My Lord! Judge Thou with truth. Our Lord is the Beneficent, Whose help is to be implored against that which ye ascribe (unto Him). (21 : 112)
Lo! we used to pray unto Him of old. Lo! He is Benign, the Merciful. (52 : 28)
